Enmeshed

In 2020, the age of the pandemic, we have collectively experienced introspection, isolation, and more remote interaction with the outside world. I am developing a new series to explore my own dreams and creating responses to this new normal, the longing for safe sanctuaries and the shape of our lives outside of these boundaries. I began this series by creating structures of enclosure that contain elements of dreams. I selected a soft, screening material used on windows to represent seeing inside and outside of our own containment. In these abstract forms, I explore themes of enclosure, concealment and fortresses. This series with a few images shown below represents the symmetry and the poetry that exists within my homes of memory, within the heart of my dreams.
